Welcome to Kunming!
On the initiative of the Center of the International Cooperation of Precious Metals Producers and Consumers and the OSJC “Scientific and Industrial Complex Supermetal”, with a support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Association of Trade chambers of Germany and the International Informatization Academy under the U.N.O. and OSWELT GmbH (Germany), three International Conferences “Platinum Metals in the Modern Industry, Hydrogen Energy and Life Maintenance in the Future” successfully took place in May 2005, in September 2006, and in May 2010 in Berlin.
The problems of the efficient use of noble metals, taking into account the limited natural resources of them and continuing increase of consumption, especially in the new fields of application, first of all, in hydrogen energy, were in the center of attention at the Conference. With this in mind, the participants of the conferences have decided to broaden the subjects of future conferences and approved the proposal of the Donetsk Engineering and Physical Center (Ukraine) to arrange and hold a number of scientific and technical conferences “Platinum Metals in the Modern Industry, Hydrogen Energy and Life Maintenance in the Future”.
The fourth International Conference “XIAN–PM’2008” took place in the city of Xi’an (China) in June 2008, supported by the International Organization “Professor Ye.I.Rytvin Foundation” GgmbH (Germany), the Committee of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the RF for Education and Science, and the Non-Ferrous Metals Society of China.
The Fifth International Conference “Platinum Metals in the Modern Industry, Hydrogen Energy and Life Maintenance in the Future (KUNMING–PM’2012” will take place in Kunming in 15 to 19 October 2012.
Plenary papers, posters, short communications are expected to be presented, and a round table discussion will take place at the Conference.
You will also have an opportunity to exhibit your working specimens and models or other exhibits.
The publication of the Conference Proceedings is planned. Social events will be available for the participants. The Organizing Committee of “KUNMING - PM’2012” is planning to send about 1000 invitations for potential participants in Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Australia.
International Organization “Professor Ye.I.Rytvin Foundation” GgmbH (Germany), and OJSC “Scientific and Industrial Complex Supermetal” (Russia) have been appointed as the administrative organizers of the Conference.
The major purpose of the Fifth International Conference “KUNMING - PM’2012” consists in the determination of the strategic directions of research studies and practical developments that will ensure the solution of the following vitally important problems:
• environmentally safe recovering of platinum metals from all kinds of primary and secondary raw materials;
• minimization of the rate of consumption of platinum metals in all fields of application;
• optimization of economy of production of platinum metals and the manufacture of platinum metal products and application of them.
We propose the following subjects for papers and communications for a draft of the scientific & technical program of the Conference:
SECTION 1. Platinum metal production:
• primary/secondary raw platinum metal material processing;
• manufacture of technical and special platinum metal products.
SECTION 2. Platinum metals in the modern production:
• in ecological technologies of refining and processing of industrial and automobile discharges;
• in electronic industry;
• in chemical and petrochemical industries;
• in glass industry and production of glass/basalt fibers, monocrystals and optical glass
SECTION 3. Platinum metals in hydrogen energy technologies:
• in fuel cells and accompanying technologies;
• in hydrogen production & purification technology;
• in solar-hydrogen and wind-hydrogen power engineering;
• in hydrogen storage/transportation technologies:
• in technologies of safety in production, purification, transportation, storage and use of hydrogen (hydrogen sensors, safety systems).
SECTION 4. Platinum metals in the technologies of life-maintenance and products for man: • in food and pharmaceutical industries;
• in medicine equipment and dentistry;
• in jewelry.
